| Requirement | We are looking for someone who is energetic, looks forward to challenges
and has a desire to learn and grow with our company tofill the supervisor
position of our Logistics department. The candidate will have experience, knowledge in the following fields / duties; - Frozen food handling experience, both physical and desk work (paperwork), including assembling orders, storage work - Supply chain management including shipment handling (both paperwork, physical) of domestic, cross border, international shipments and vendor liaison - Inventory control, system arrangement As well, the Logistics Supervisor Job requires - Leadership, management skills - Able to communicate well in English: both verbal and written communication - Strong communication skills and negotiation skills to related stakeholders ( inner and other Departments, customers, vendors, and transportation service providers - Detailed oriented/accuracy - Quick learner and self starter under minimal supervision - Ensuring that all department job tasks and responsibilities are handled in a responsible, efficient, cooperative and safe manner - Proactive efforts to have personnel improve company operations and the logistics department, its related tasks and responsibilities and all aspects of the supply chain flow, including but not limited to cost cutting, efficiency, management of flow system, reporting, communication and cooperation within and other departments, customers, suppliers, etc. - Assessing, improving current inventory system and if necessary, establishing new system - Continuously developing, improving, nurturing and if required, disciplining of department staff personnel. Also contributing to the development of personnel and the efforts of other departments - Assisting in development of department policies and ensuring that the department and company are in compliance of applicable regulations, acts, etc. - Multi tasking skills - Computer skills - A valid driver license - Able to work under -20 degree Celsius for a short period of time (5 mins to 30 mins) - Able to or learn to operate a Crown electronic standup narrow aisle forklift and electronic hand jack - Able to speak and/or understand Japanese, and/or understand Japanese culture would be an asset . |

Supervisor job responsibilities will also include, but is not limited to the
following; - Various aspects of receiving, stocking, and releasing product, both physical and desk (paperwork) work. This would include manually assembling orders, assisting in some hand loading / off loading of shipments. (Schedule may necessitate pick up, drop off product to / from air cargo or supplier locations using company van.) - Supply chain management including vendor negotiations, shipment arrangement, preparation, paperwork, follow up - Reporting, invoice checking, costing comparison and analysis, etc. - Work site and equipment maintenance arrangement with company maintenance dept., clean up - Arrangement of inventory and storage facilities (includes outside storage facilities), both physical and desk work management - Meeting, communicating with outside vendors, government agencies, company affiliates and personnel |
| Remuneration | To be
negotiated. (Please
state your desired wage range.) Standard procedures would be a 3 months probation period, followed by promotion (if acceptable) to full time with monthly salary w/ O/T, medical / dental benefits, sick pay benefits, bonus opportunities. Working in the factory in our processing, packing and boxing sections to gain experience and learn about our products and production is necessary in order to fill this position. Factory work will be a part of duties during probation. |
